Letter to
NoCastro.com
I am not a Cuban and I
cannot even begin to believe that I can understand the tragedies that
the Cuban people suffer, I am an American, but ... I believe I can feel
the despair and longing that they feel.
From the first I have
had the "gut feeling" that Elian should be allowed to stay
here in the United States. His mother died bringing him to this
country and I know that in her heart she realized the dangers of the
trip, but she wanted a chance for her son.
I have spent most of
the day today reading the articles here on your website... and I will
admit, I have cried most of the day. My heart goes out to these
strong willed, brave people. And my wish is that in someway I
could help.
My prayers are with
them all... and with Elian... and if our government is what it is
proposed to be... built on the strong foundation that our forefathers
gave their lives to build... then I do not see how anyone in their right
minds could send an innocent child back into the hands of that
criminally sick man.
My prayers tonight and
everynight until he is allowed to live "free" will be for
Elian and the others.
